Art All Magazine

Artists Alliance publishes a quarterly magazine, Art All that goes out to members and subscribers throughout New Zealand and abroad. Art All has evolved out of a newsletter first published in 1991. In the last ten years Art All has developed considerably as a publication and is considered a vital resource for artists, art workers and arts organisations alike. Art All regularly features articles on arts law, copyright, exhibition reviews, opportunities (competitions and residencies) as well as book reviews, a Dr Paynt column (practical advice for painters) and arts related stories from New Zealand and abroad. Artists Alliance welcomes new advertisers; rates and deadlines for 2011 are outlined below.

Appliance

Appliance is a small publication which originally acted as a supplement to the larger Art All magazine. In recent times, Appliance has come into its own and is now circulated separately, six times a year. The focus of Appliance is the artist run spaces and initiatives, often featuring guest editors from this sector. It acts as a ‘gig guide’ displaying listings of exhibitions and events at the artist run spaces throughout New Zealand. Appliance has an experimental nature, open to new formats and approaches. It is also possible to advertise in Appliance; rates and deadlines for 2011 are also listed below.
